Riveted Cover Support Ribs & Web Stiffeners to F-704A
This month is turning out to be very hectic. There is some event on my calendar every weekend this month, and it just seems to be getting worse. Oh well, there's nothing I can do about it, but I don't expect to get much shop time this month.
That being said, I did manage to get a little bit done today by riveting the F-782B and F-783B Cover Support Ribs and F-704M Web Stiffeners to the center section. Since today was our anniversary, I had to keep it short and get ready for dinner.
Before I could rivet them to the F-704A Center Section Bulkhead, I deburred the F-782B and F-783B Cover Support Ribs, gave them a coat of primer and then attached the nutplates to them using NAS1097 rivets.
Some people use their c-frame to rivet the cover supports and web stiffeners to the center section, but since I don't have a regular c-frame I had to resort to back-riveting the web stiffeners, and regular old shoot and buck for the F-783B Cover Support Ribs. It worked well with no problems encountered.
